The Moretonhampstead Food Festival returned this year as part of carnival week in the town.

The food festival has added another dimension to the fun week. Court Street, in the town, was closed to allow the crowds who came out for the festival to wander up and down the street and take in sights, smells and tastes of some wonderful foods from here in Devon but also from around the world.

At the top of Court Street the festival spilled over into the playground where there were more stalls and a fun fair.

Food producers, drink suppliers and chefs showed off their wares from curry to ice cream, from Devon beers to Papillion Gin which is distilled in the town.

A number of stall holders pulled out on Friday due to the appalling weather, but Saturday was a lovely sunny day.
