The town of Ashburton was bathed in sunshine for the ninth annual Ashburton Food and Drink Festival.
Thousands of people went from stall to stall looking, tasting and smelling some of the delights available, from Thai to World Food, pizza to brownies, beer to gin and vodka, cakes to ice cream.
A number of streets were closed off so people could wander around safely and music was played throughout the day in different parts of the town.
A spokesperson for the festival said: “It was a lovely and sunny day and the town centre streets were full of thousands of people enjoying the food and the music.”
Since the first food festival nearly a decade ago the Ashburton Food and Drink Festival has attracted more and more visitors each year.
