Three charged following allegations of robbery, attempted robbery and aggravated burglary around Barnstaple

Three have been charged following alleged robberies and an aggravated burglary in Barnstaple.

Police have charged two men and one woman after a spate of alleged robberies, attempted robberies and burglaries in the Barnstaple area during the past week.

Adam McCarthy, aged 20, of Hills View, Barnstaple, has been charged with three counts of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery and one aggravated burglary.

Samuel Todd, aged 20, of Willshere road, Barnstaple, has been charged with seven counts robbery, one attempted robbery and one attempted aggravated burglary

Saffron Corriveau, aged 18, of Crosslands, Barnstaple, was charged with one count of attempted aggravated burglary.

Police said the charges follow a series of alleged street robberies and attempted robberies in the Barnstaple area on Saturday, November 8 and Wednesday, November 12.

McCarthy and Todd were remanded into custody and appeared before magistrates this morning (Friday, November 14). They were remanded to next appear at Exeter Crown Court on December 18.

Corriveau was bailed to appear at Barnstaple Magistrates’ Court on December 5.
