The village show
The Dunsford Summer Show returns on Saturday 5 July 2025, promising a ‘glorious’ day packed with family entertainment and community spirit in the heart of Devon’s Teign Valley.
Hosted by the Dunsford Community Academy PTFA, the event is a key fundraiser supporting local school projects, including sports equipment, school trips, and maintenance of the village swimming pool.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Devon’s countryside, the show features a diverse range of attractions.
Visitors can enjoy thrilling performances from Andrei Burton, the mountain bike trials star known from Britain’s Got Talent, alongside captivating dog and duck displays, and the enchanting Dartmoor Hill Ponies showcasing their agility and charm.
Music lovers will be treated to the lively sounds of Street Heat, bringing salsa rhythms and vibrant costumes to the showground, while children can explore creative activities like face painting and a children’s tent filled with fun.
With over 25 stalls, the show offers an array of local crafts, artisan produce, and charities close to the community’s heart.
Food and drink options complement the atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the summer sunshine with family and friends.
The day also features a popular dog show judged by Chris Hawkins from Vets4Pets Newton Abbot, with categories ranging from ‘Most Handsome Dog’ to ‘Waggiest Tail’, inviting local dog lovers to join the fun.
Tickets are available at the gate, priced at £5 for adults, £2 for children aged 5 to 16, and free for under 5s.
Family tickets cost £12 and cover two adults and up to three children.
