Drivers using the A30 near Okehampton should plan ahead, as road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place from 14 October to 15 October for essential resurfacing works.

National Highways confirmed that they will be closing the westbound A30 near Okehampton overnight on Monday, 14 October for resurfacing work.

The closure will be in place, 8pm to 6am, from Whiddon Down, with HGVs diverted via the A3124 and A386 to rejoin the A30 at Sourton and lighter westbound traffic diverted via the B3260 Tavistock road and A386 to rejoin the A30 at the Tongue End junction.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow the posted diversion routes to avoid delays.
