LIVE: Devon County Council Election 2025 – Dartmoor results

Reform UK and the Liberal Democrats have made significant gains across Dartmoor in the 2025 local elections, winning more seats than any other party as the results from all eight divisions in the area were declared.

The council is made up of 60 councillors across 58 electoral divisions. Across Dartmoor, towns and villages are waiting for the results from West Devon, Teignbridge and South Hams. 

The following divisions are being contested:

  • Ivybridge - declared 
  • Ashburton & Buckfastleigh - declared 
  • Bovey Rural - declared
  • Hatherleigh & Chagford - declared 
  • Okehampton Rural - declared 
  • Tavistock - declared 
  • Yelverton Rural - declared
  • South Brent & Yealmpton - declared

1.15pm: South Brent & Yealmpton results: 

  • Dan Thomas (Liberal Democrats) – 2,397 votes (Elected)

  • Richard Hosking (Conservative Party) – 941 votes 

  • Jen Burdett (Reform UK) – 833 votes 

  • Becky Warnes (Green Party) – 288 votes 

  • Jack Stevens (Labour Party) – 115 votes 

1.14pm: Yelverton Rural results in:

  • Michael Fife Cook (Reform UK) – 1,300 (Elected)

  • Chris West (Liberal Democrats) – 1,121

  • Philip Richard Sanders (Local Conservatives) – 1,002

  • Mark Christian Renders (Independent) – 668

  • Judy Sara Maciejowska (Green Party) – 404

  • Uwem Eno Udo (Labour Party) – 232

12.52pm: Hatherleigh & Chagford results in:

  • Sue Davies (Reform UK) – 1,350 votes (Elected)

  • Lois Esther Samuel (Conservative Party) – 1,263 votes

  • Lynn Christine Daniel (Green Party) – 962 votes

  • Thomas Ben Colliety (Labour Party) – 199 votes

  • Christian Adam Martin (Liberal Democrats) – 571 votes

12.45pm: Tavistock results in:

  • Debo Sellis (Local Conservatives) – 1,316 votes (Elected)

  • Holly Greenberry-Pullen (Liberal Democrats) – 1,169 votes

  • Gary Clifford (Reform UK) – 949 votes

  • Gemma Christine Loving (Labour Party) – 351 votes

  • Sara Louise Wood (Green Party) – 312 votes

12.43pm: Bovey Rural results in:

  • Sally Angela Morgan (Liberal Democrats) – 1,281 votes (Elected)

  • Martin Smith (Conservative Party) – 1,161 votes

  • Kerri Anne Cuthbert (Reform UK) – 1,070 votes

  • Lisa Collette Robillard Webb (Labour Party) – 449 votes

  • Steve Day (Green Party) – 274 votes

12.41pm: Okehampton Rural results in: 

  • James George Grainger (Reform UK) – 1,380 votes (Elected)

  • Neil Jory (Conservative and Unionist Party) – 972 votes

  • George Herbert Dexter (Liberal Democrats) – 971 votes

  • Tracy Belinda Kirnig (Green Party) – 417 votes

  • Niall Duffy (Labour Party) – 248 votes

  • John Nicholas (Independent) – 99 votes

12.40pm: Ashburton & Buckfastleigh results in:

  • Stuart Rogers (Conservative Party) – 1,021 votes (Elected)

  • Matthew Stewart Sykes (Reform UK) – 906 votes

  • Jack Major (Liberal Democrats) – 899 votes

  • Pauline Angela Wynter (Green Party) – 608 votes

  • Tristan Mark Snowsill (Labour Party) – 324 votes

12.33pm: Ivybridge results in:

The results for Ivybridge are now in, and the successful candidate is Victor James Abbott from the Liberal Democrats, securing 1,210 votes.

  • Victor James Abbott (Liberal Democrats) – 1,210 votes (Elected)

  • Andy Dennett (Reform UK) – 876 votes

  • Lance Peter Austen (Conservative Party) – 579 votes

  • Alan Charles Spencer (Independent) – 197 votes

  • Andrew Robert Pratt (Green Party) – 113 votes

  • Susan Louise Clarke (Labour Party) – 90 votes

  • Tony Rea (Independent Trade Union and Socialist Candidate) – 89 votes
