Drivers are being warned of disruption on the Brentor to Tavistock road after a tree fell across the carriageway near Brentor village.

The obstruction is reported to be just before Brentor when travelling from the Lydford direction, according to a post shared on the Brentor, Lydford and Mary Tavy Hub Facebook group.

Local resident Sarah Michelle Foster, who shared the update, said the road is blocked but that drivers can still get through using an alternative route.

She wrote that motorists can turn left before the obstruction, pass the playing field and travel through Brentor village to get around the fallen tree.

Further comments from residents confirmed that the road on the left in the photo is Burn Lane, which still allows access through Brentor and on towards Tavistock.

There is currently no official confirmation on when the tree will be cleared.

Drivers are advised to take care, expect delays and follow any local diversions already in place.
