Donna Baker from Cullompton decided that her 2007 green Land Rover Defender was looking a bit tired and needed a bit of a face lift after 137,000 miles.
So, after seeing the James Bond film Spectre, Donna decided to change her Land Rover to look like the very sexy black Land Rover used in the chase scenes through a snow covered forest in which James Bond, played by Daniel Craig, is at one point chased by a plane.
Donna set about trying to find someone who could make her dream come true and found Dartmoor 4×4, a new company run by Mike Woodgate based a Hittisleigh, who transformed Donna’s old green Land Rover into the James Bond Special in four weeks.
Mike said: “I worked on the Landy around the clock, it now looks like a new pin, beautiful. The Land Rover would have been worth around £12,500 before the restoration , but now is worth £25,000. In October the same roll cage as seen in the film will be fitted to finish the job off.”
Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsey has just paid £200,000 for a similar Land Rover from the Spectre film. Dartmoor 4×4 restore, service and carry out all works related to Land Rovers.
Mike is also setting up an off road driving experience on a 45 acre site. For more information visit: www.dartmoor4x4.co.uk
