Villagers ramble to raise funds for Children in Need

Sampford Courtenay villagers recently put their best foot forward to raise funds for the Children in Need appeal.

A merry band and their dogs gathered to undertake the challenge of the Super Hero and Full Monty rambles from the Village Hall. The rambles used green lanes and footpaths in and around Sampford Courtenay and Honeychurch.

The combination of good company, sunshine and home-made cakes back at the hall clearly helped the walkers to get round the muddy and hilly route at a good pace, and dig deep in their pockets, too.

An amazing £155 was raised through donations and the sale of cakes for Children in Need. The walk is one of the many events taking place, focused round the Village Hall resource.
