Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses after a ‘serious two-vehicle collision’ on the A38 near Plympton.

Officers were called to the A38 on the approach to Marsh Mills at around 5.30pm on Wednesday 16 September following a collision involving a white and blue Suzuki motorcycle and a white Mini Cooper.

The motorcycle rider, an 18-year-old local man, suffered injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

His family have been informed.

The driver of the Mini was uninjured and remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.

Paramedics treated the injured rider, and officers carried out an initial investigation, leading to the road being closed for around an hour.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance at the scene and their understanding and patience.”

Officers are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the motorcycle before the incident, or has dash-cam footage or CCTV which may have captured what happened to come forward.

Anyone with information who has not already spoken to police is asked to contact 101 or the Devon and Cornwall Police website, quoting log number 638 16/09/26.
