Ruda Holiday Park at Croyde is set for a raft of improvements as owner John Fowler Holidays has pledged multi-million pound investment for the site.

The well-known North Devon-based holiday park operator bought Ruda from Parkdean in June of this year and is now focusing on a range of redevelopment plans during the quieter part of the season.

The company said more than £1million has been invested in a fleet of new caravans, which will be replacing older models.

It is also redeveloping two major areas within the park to create new bases, each benefitting from dedicated parking for guests.

John Fowler Holidays said it is committing more than £100,000 to refurbish and refresh existing accommodation, ensuring high standards are consistent across the park.

Three new luxury lodges are being added to the Croyde Burrows section of the park to cater for the high-end market, with views out over Croyde beach.

A state-of-the-art, fully electric eco-friendly shower and facilities block is also under construction for touring guests.

It will have a focus on sustainability including solar panels, high efficiency electric boilers, water-saving measures and an integrated laundrette as part of the building.

John Fowler Holidays said it was ‘excited to be taking Ruda into its next chapter’ and looked forward to guests being able to enjoy the extensive improvements.
