South Devon’s Cofton Holidays, recently named the UK’s top dog-friendly holiday park for the second year running, is adding a festive twist for four-legged visitors this Christmas.
The park, based in Starcross, has launched Santa Paws, a special grotto experience where dogs can meet Santa, have photos taken, and enjoy a day out with the whole family. The event runs until 21 December in a decorated Mongolian yurt, complete with twinkling lights, cosy Christmas décor, and festive cheer.
Each canine visitor will take part in a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus, enjoy a festive photo, receive a special doggy gift, and receive plenty of attention from Cofton’s Christmas elves. Families can also explore the wider Christmas Wonderland, enjoy seasonal food and drink, and take home Elfie-Selfies to remember the day.
Chris Jeffery, Director at Cofton Holidays, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our dog-friendly facilities here at Cofton. From dog-friendly lodges to welcome hampers and dedicated exercise fields, dogs really are part of the family. So this year, we wanted to do something special and what better than letting your four-legged friend meet Santa? It’s going to be a pawsitively magical experience.”
Visitors are encouraged to share festive photos of their dogs with Santa using #SantaPawsAtCofton, with prizes for the cutest and most creative snaps.
The Santa Paws experience runs on weekdays from 4pm to 8pm, and on weekends from 11am to 3pm and 4pm to 8pm. Tickets cost £10 per dog.
