Several Exeter schools have been recognised in the 2025 Edurio Awards, which highlight school performance and engagement based on feedback from students, parents and staff.

Schools within the Ted Wragg Trust were among those acknowledged in this year’s awards, which use nationally benchmarked survey data collected during the 2024/25 academic year.

The Edurio Awards recognise schools either nationally, placing them among the top 10 in the country for a particular category, or regionally, as the highest-performing school in their area.

Whipton Barton Infants and Nursery School received national recognition through the Career Development Award, which reflects staff views on professional growth and progression.

The school also received the Regional Staff Choice Award, indicating high levels of staff satisfaction and a strong sense of teamwork.

The Whipton Barton Federation was recognised for its approach to engaging families and pupils, receiving both the National Listening & Acting Award for Parental Feedback and the National Listening & Acting Award for Pupil Feedback.

It also received the Regional Listening & Acting Award for Parental Feedback, reflecting how feedback from parents has been gathered and used to inform changes at the school.

Exwick Heights Primary School was awarded the National Listening & Acting Award for Pupil Feedback.

The award highlights schools where pupils report feeling listened to and where their views are acted upon to improve the school experience.

While the focus of the awards was largely on Exeter schools, the Ted Wragg Trust also saw recognition elsewhere in Devon and Plymouth.

Lipson Co-operative Academy in Plymouth received the National Staff Choice Award, as well as national awards for listening and acting on both parental and staff feedback.

Certificates were presented to schools at the Confederation of School Trusts conference.

The Ted Wragg Trust said the awards reflect its wider commitment to using feedback from school communities to shape decision-making and improvement across its schools.

The Edurio Awards are based entirely on survey responses, with no application process, and aim to highlight schools where engagement and wellbeing are rated highly by those who learn and work there.
