A violent offender has been jailed for three years and nine months for carrying out two separate acts of extreme violence in Totnes, committed four years apart.
Frankie Wall, 22, of no fixed abode but previously of Totnes, was sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court on Tuesday 13 January after pleading guilty to affray and robbery.
The most recent offence took place on 26 April 2025, when Wall and two other people entered a property in Totnes during the night.
Once inside, the group pinned the victim to his bed and assaulted him while demanding to know where money was kept. They later fled with cash, a mobile phone and tools.
During the incident, Wall was armed with a screwdriver. The victim was left with facial injuries.
The court also heard about an earlier incident on 4 April 2021, when Wall was one of three men who travelled to Dartington Estate in Totnes in a black BMW.
There, the group violently attacked another man, kicking him in the face and using keys held between their fingers to punch him. The victim suffered a fractured jaw which required surgery.
Wall received a 16-month prison sentence for the 2021 offence, to run concurrently with his overall sentence. His co-defendants in that case received suspended prison sentences last year.
Detective Chief Inspector Becky Davies said: “We welcome the sentence given to Frankie Wall at Plymouth Crown Court.
“Wall launched two separate ferocious attacks on his victims, leaving them with significant facial damage.
“The time between the offences demonstrates that Wall was unable to leave such violent tendencies behind and that he remains a danger to others.
“We hope this sentence shows that such violence will not be tolerated in our community.”
