The Olivier award-nominated live stage show, Bluey’s Big Play, is taking to the stage of the Princess Theatre for the first time at the end of this month.

Featuring brilliantly created puppets, this theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children’s television series is packed with music, laughter, and fun for the whole family.

When Dad feels like a little bit of afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans.

Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag.

Bluey’s Big Play will have an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and new music by Bluey composer Joff Bush.

A spokesman said: “You can join the Heelers in this live theatre show made just for you, featuring brilliantly created puppets. This is Bluey as you’ve never seen it before, brought to real life.”

Bluey’s Big Play is produced by Andrew Kay and Cuffe & Taylor with Windmill Theatre Co for BBC Studios and has captivated audiences of all ages, with Bluey and her family delighting fans with an unforgettable live theatrical experience and its back on tour in the UK and Ireland.

The show features the original voices from the beloved TV series, including the instantly recognisable voices of Dave McCormack and Melanie Zanetti as Dad and Mum.

Melanie says: “It feels like a huge extended episode, with the characters played by these enormous puppets, which beautifully bring them to life. The sets are incredible, and the music is by Joff Bush, who also does the music for the TV show.

“It's 50 minutes with no interval and it's a really fun ride, with a story that you won't have seen on TV. I've seen it three times so far, including at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden where the energy was so frenetic it was like being at a rock concert.”

Dave added: “It's like a rock concert for kids and parents, because you're in a big room with a lot of people making a lot of noise and it's really exciting. I saw it at Madison Square Garden and in Sydney, and both times the reaction was incredible.”

Bluey is at the Princess on Saturday January 31 and Sunday February 1 with performances at 10am, 1pm and 4pm.
