The improving weather could be welcome news for people planning to get outdoors
Forecasters are predicting a brighter and milder spell of weather, with sunshine and rising temperatures expected from Monday onwards.
After a mixed and often gloomy start to March, the Met Office says high pressure will bring clearer skies and more settled conditions across Devon next week, giving the city a welcome taste of spring.
The week will start with sunny intervals and temperatures reaching around 13°C.
Conditions should continue to improve through the week, with the thermometer potentially reaching 14°C by midweek alongside longer spells of sunshine.
While nights will remain cool, daytime temperatures will feel noticeably milder than the typical March average of around 10–11°C in Exeter.
The improving weather could be welcome news for people planning to get outdoors, with Exeter Quayside, the city’s parks and outdoor cafés likely to see more visitors enjoying the sunshine.
