Artists Anna Heinrich and Leon Palmer are to give a talk at Exeter Pheonix, presenting their approach to creating new work for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) as well as discussing previous projects.

Heinrich & Palmer have worked in collaboration since the early 1990s. Their practice crosses disciplines and employs a range of media including installation, intervention, large-scale projection, film and photography. Many of their projects evolve through a process of research or collaboration with people from other disciplines such as architects, engineers, programmers and fabricators.

RAMM commissioned Heinrich & Palmer to create a new artwork for the ‘Birds Without Borders’ exhibition, which is showing until 3rd November. Heinrich & Palmer’s new video projection ‘Aerial’ was produced using point cloud data from a CT scan of a feather and 3D laser scans of each of the birds in the exhibition.

The talk is at 5pm on Wednesday, 25th September at Exeter Phoenix. Tickets are £3.50 and are free for Exeter College students. Visit www.exeterphoenix.org.uk/events/last-wednesday-series-september/ to book.
