Martial Arts 4 Fun thriving across Dartmoor

The superb Martialsarts4fun – Schools of Excellence have been a sporting success story across the Moors for almost 30 years, and their message still rings true today.

The ethos is simple: teaching basic life skills for younger members and improving fitness and mental health in adult members, and with centres Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh, Moretonhampstead, Ashburton, Newton Abbot, Dawlish and Teignmouth, the local options are endless.

Martialarts4fun enjoyed recent success in the Southern Championships for Tae Kwon Do, held at Torbay Leisure Centre, where members picked up six golds, 11 silvers and 11 bronze medals.

Here is a sample of their approach: “At our Tae Kwon-Do schools, we firmly believe that it's crucial to teach girls to be brave, not perfect, here's why:

‘In a world often obsessed with perfection, we intentionally foster an environment where our girls can bravely embrace imperfections.

 ‘So, let's encourage our girls to be brave and bold, embrace challenges, take risks, and rise every time they fall.”
