Tragic loss for Devon boxing

North Devon Boxing has received another shattering blow with the sudden death of Jeff Facey, Development Officer at Bideford Boxing Club.

Jeff held many important posts in Devon Boxing but will probably be best remembered by the boxing public as the Master of Ceremonies at tournaments and shows throughout the County. 

Bideford Boxing Club's gymnasium is an outstanding example of Jeff's tireless work in fundraising. Volunteers who give hours of their free time helping others rarely receive the credit or accolades they so rightly deserve. His record of service will remain in the public mind for decades to come. 

When this terribly sad news reaches all sporting people in North Devon, not just the boxing fraternity, we feel certain they will convey their sincere condolences to Jeff's family and friends and to his partner Elaine, for so many happy years his greatest supporter.
