Boxing Day special in tribute to Sizzy

A brilliant Boxing Day at Okehampton RFC was a special way to celebrate the life of Gary Sizmur, who sadly passed away in 2023.

Sizzy was remembered by teams from Okehampton, Bridestowe and North Tawton all coming together for a feast of rugby. Funds were raised for Pete’s Dragon Charity, which has been supporting Sizzy’s family and an opportunity to highlight the crucial issue of men’s mental health.

The atmosphere at the ground was fantastic for the day and, mercifully, the weather was kind enough for everyone to pay their tributes to Sizzy.

Next on the fundraising agenda is a walk from Launceston Rugby Club to Okehampton RFC on 13th January, with Sizzy’s wife Charli and mum Pam joining the walkers.
