The Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for Dartmoor as Storm Isha looms.

Set to make its impact on Sunday, January 21, strong winds are expected which may lead to disruption in travel and utilities across various parts of the UK on both Sunday and Monday.

Dartmoor residents are cautioned about the likelihood of structural damage, including the possibility of tiles being blown from roofs, and are urged to stay vigilant against potential injuries and threats to life from flying debris.

The Met Office have also warned that power cuts are also anticipated, posing a risk to essential services such as mobile phone coverage.

The warning also includes potential road and bridge closures, as well as disruptions to road, rail, air and ferry services.

Residents are recommended to secure loose items, stay indoors during the storm's peak and avoid coastal areas prone to flooding.

Real time updates and guidance can be obtained by following official weather updates and local announcements.
