The fair will offer a wide range of activities
The South West Fly Fair is gearing up to deliver a day of family fun and angling adventures as it returns to Roadford Lake on Sunday, February 25.
Running from 10am to 4pm, the event promises a full day of excitement and exploration.
The fair itself will offer a wide range of activities designed to engage the whole family.
Hosted by the South West Lakes Trust, this highly anticipated event has promised to be an exciting blend of education, entertainment, and outdoor exploration, catering to fly-fishing enthusiasts of all ages.
Situated just five minutes off the A30 between Launceston and Okehampton, Roadford Lake provides the idyllic setting for this annual gathering.
Thanks to the sponsorship from Catch, Chevron Hackles, Homeleigh Garden Centres, Snowbee, and Turrall, attendees can look forward to interactive demonstrations, fly tying workshops, and 'have a go' sessions suitable for all skill levels.
Aspiring anglers will have the chance to learn from experts and gain valuable insights into the world of fly fishing.
In addition to the angling attractions, trade stands will be on hand to showcase a variety of new and used tackle and equipment.
Meanwhile, the onsite café will keep hunger at bay with a selection of refreshments to suit every taste.
Alongside this, there will also be arts and crafts for the kids as well as informative exhibits for adults.
Ashley Bunning, Head of Angling at South West Lakes Trust, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming both seasoned anglers and newcomers to Roadford Lake. "We're thrilled to showcase the fantastic angling opportunities available in our region," said Ms Bunning.
Admission is £6 for adults, with children under 18 admitted free of charge.
Tickets include car parking and a raffle entry, with attendees also eligible for a 10 percent discount on season tickets.
