A Princetown ceramic sculptor has been selected to exhibit his work at the Bull Pen Gallery in Cotehele House, a historic National Trust property in Saltash.

Nick Bennett’s featured piece, a striking 2ft by 2½ft sculpture titled "Big Friendly Bull" (BFB), will take centre stage among the gallery’s art collection, which celebrates a blend of local history and contemporary creativity.

The gallery discovered his work online, recognising his unique style as a fitting addition to its exhibits, which reflect the historical essence and current identity of the Bull Pen Gallery. Mr Bennett, a lifelong supporter of the National Trust, expressed pride in being chosen for this showcase, saying: “It’s an honour to represent the Trust as well as its ideals and ideologies.”

Curated by Allison Cowen, the Bull Pen Gallery features a range of paintings, prints, sculptures, and textile art that embody the National Trust’s ethos and enhance the Cotehele experience for visitors.

Set within the scenic grounds of the estate, Cotehele offers a day of exploration for visitors, from immersive historical exhibits and lush gardens to refreshments at the Cotehele Barn Café.

With regular open days, visitors can meet artists like Bennett and discover the inspiration behind their work
