You may remember our article in The Moorlander (Nov 8th , page 10) about Chagford based charity Joliba Trust, working in Mali, West Africa. From 3rd – 10th December, Joliba Trust will be running a Big Give campaign to raise £80,000 which will be used to install water wells and provide water to 20 villages in the remote rural region of Bandiagara, Mali. Each new well costs between £4-£6,000 and will completely transform the lives of thousands of people, but particularly those of women and children. Joliba estimates that it costs just £9.60 to provide a supply of water to each family that will last for many decades.
Every donation received between 3rd -10th December will be doubled by Big Give!
It could be the perfect Christmas gift for friends and family.
A gift of £9.60 will be doubled to £19.20 - providing water for 2 families
A gift of £48 will be doubled to £96 - providing water for 10 families
A gift of £96 will be doubled to £192 - providing water for 20 families.
To donate to this appeal please go to Joliba Trust or Big Give websites:
Please give what you can - every donation will help.
