Bovey Castle Hotel
A five-star hotel in Devon has announced plans to support two charity initiatives this festive season, helping those in need with essentials and gifts.
Bovey Castle, located in Dartmoor National Park, will donate gift parcels to the Trussell Trust, which supports people experiencing food poverty, for every room booked as part of its Christmas and New Year packages.
In addition, the hotel has pledged to donate gifts to Mission Christmas, a campaign that supports children in the community over the festive period, for every child staying at the venue this Christmas.
Dean Gunston, general manager at Bovey Castle, said: “Being a family friendly business at the heart of our community, we don’t think anyone should go without some joy over the festive period.
“So alongside supporting our usual local charities we have decided to support the Mission Christmas Cash for Kids appeal as well as the Trussell Trust food bank.
“We will donate a gift parcel to the Trussell Trust for every room booked on our Christmas & New Year packages, as well as donating a children’s gift to Mission Christmas for every child staying with us over the festive break.”
The hotel is also supporting other local causes, including South Dartmoor Community College and Coppelia House.
