Art to go under the hammer for Children’s Hospice South West

Ashburton artist auctions original pieces for charity

Art to go under the hammer for Children’s Hospice South West

Paintings from local artist Tessa Blight will be auctioned on Saturday, 19th April, with a proportion of the funds being donated to Children’s Hospice South West, the charity for which Tessa volunteers.

The auction will take place in Ashburton Town Hall at 1pm, with viewing available from 12 noon. Lydia Wood from In A Nutshell Antiques will be conducting the auction.

Tessa has exhibited in Canada, London and Devon but her paintings are inspired by the Dartmoor landscape and she utilises a unique and striking use of colour and pattern. Tessa describes her work: “Using line and colour I hope to convey my energetic response to my subject matter. I use charcoal and acrylic paint on canvas and l am constantly inspired by new ideas and images.”

Come along and take home an original piece of art whilst supporting a very important cause.
