Families looking for a fun-filled Easter break need look no further than Royal William Yard, which is rolling out a cracking line-up of events, activities, and foodie treats throughout the holiday period. From paddleboarding adventures to Easter egg trails and crafting workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this vibrant waterfront destination.
Easter Egg Hunt and Heritage Walks
The festivities begin with a free Easter Egg Hunt, taking place from 17th–19th April, between 12pm and 5pm. Families can pick up a trail map from local favourites like Ocean Studios Cafe, Everyman Cinema, Wagamama, Steel Brew, and Wildwood. Kids can follow clues to track down eight hidden eggs scattered around the Yard and claim a chocolatey prize at the end.
Adventure and Creativity for Kids
South West SUP is hosting an Easter SUP Club for children aged 9–16, running from 14th–17th April. From 10am–1pm, young paddlers will learn water safety and paddleboarding skills, with all gear, instruction, and a healthy lunch included. Sessions cost £30, or £100 for a weekly pass. Children in the Fit and Fed scheme can take part for free.
Meanwhile, Ocean Studios is inviting young creatives (ages 8–16) to sustainable sewing workshops with cosy pyjama-making on 15th–16th April. The workshops are open to all skill levels and must be booked in advance.
Big Screen Magic and Dining Delights
Everyman Cinema will keep families entertained with a line-up of new releases including A Minecraft Movie, Flow, and Disney’s Snow White. Special Family Ticket bundles (two adults and two children) are available at discounted rates - just ask staff for more information.
Local eateries are also joining in the Easter celebrations. Wildwood is offering a “kids eat for £1” deal with every adult main from Sunday to Thursday, until 20th April, alongside a limited-edition Easter kids’ menu. Over at Bistrot Pierre, an Easter Sunday three-course meal is available for £26.95, and Club Bistrot Pierre members can treat kids to a £1 meal with free squash refills when an adult main is ordered.
The Hook & Line is serving up roast dinners every Sunday from 12pm–7pm for £20, with vegan and gluten-free options available. They’re also offering a 10% discount for those arriving by ferry and running an all-day cocktail happy hour.
The beloved Shack café reopens for Easter weekend on Saturday 19th April, serving delicious treats and hot drinks from 8am–3pm, just steps from the waterfront at Firestone Arch.
