One of the world’s most celebrated immersive art experiences is set to transport visitors into the vibrant and emotional world of Vincent van Gogh this autumn, as Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience comes to Exeter for a limited two-week run.
The internationally acclaimed exhibition will open at Westpoint Arena from Thursday, 16th October to Friday, 31st October 2025, coinciding with the October half-term holiday. With its unique blend of art, technology, and storytelling, the show promises to be a major cultural highlight for the South West.
Seen by over seven million people across the United States, Canada, and South America, Beyond Van Gogh made its UK debut in Liverpool in 2024, drawing more than 60,000 visitors. Since then, it has captivated audiences in Glasgow and Birmingham, and in 2025 will also visit Aberdeen and return to Liverpool.
Now, for the first time, the exhibition comes to Exeter, where the sprawling 150-acre Westpoint Arena - the region’s largest events venue - will serve as a dramatic canvas for the multimedia spectacle. The site offers free parking, excellent access from the M5 (Junction 30), and is located just minutes from Exeter International Airport and St David’s railway station.
Produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, the installation showcases more than 300 of Van Gogh’s masterpieces, brought to life with cutting-edge projection technology and a specially curated musical score.
The journey begins in the Introduction Hall, where visitors connect with Van Gogh’s life through excerpts from his deeply personal letters to his brother Theo. From there, they enter the Immersive Room, where iconic works like The Starry Night, Sunflowers, and Café Terrace at Night swirl and shift across walls and floors in a dreamlike, all-encompassing experience.
Visitors are immersed in a vibrant world of colour, emotion, and movement, designed to appeal to long-time art lovers and newcomers alike.
“The response since we first brought the immersive experience to the UK last year has been nothing short of amazing,” said Anna Parry, UK Business Development at Annerin Productions. “Westpoint Exeter is the perfect venue, and we’re excited to welcome visitors of all ages to step into Vincent’s visionary world.”
“This immersive experience offers a unique and inspiring way for visitors of all ages to connect with the life and work of one of history’s greatest artists,” said Sarah Dumont, Event Manager at Westpoint Exeter. “We are thrilled to be hosting it here in the South West.”
The Exeter residency is expected to draw thousands of visitors, offering a rare chance to see Van Gogh’s works in a way that breaks free from gallery walls and transforms them into a living, breathing narrative.
