Polestar Plymouth opened its doors to the public on Sunday 1st June
Electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar has opened a new retail space in Plymouth, marking its first dedicated location in the city.
Previously, the company’s only dealer serving the South West was at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.
The Plymouth outlet will allow customers to view and test drive Polestar’s electric models, including the Polestar 2 fastback and newer SUVs, within a showroom designed to reflect the brand’s minimalist aesthetic.
Customers can also arrange vehicle delivery to their preferred addresses.
It's been reported that Plymouth has become one of the faster-growing markets for electric vehicles in the UK.
The city council has set a target to become carbon neutral by 2030 and has invested in expanding EV infrastructure, including 40 rapid charging points and over £2.4 million in funding aimed at improving access to public chargers, particularly for residents without off-street parking.
Matt Galvin, Managing Director of Polestar UK, said: “We’re excited to bring Polestar to Plymouth and make our cars even more accessible across the South West. This opening supports our ambition to meet customers where they are, offering a seamless and informed experience from test drive to online order.”
The new location at Language Business Park in Plympton adds to Polestar’s growing UK retail network as the company seeks to expand its footprint in key regional markets.
