Bratton Clovelly plant sale helps boost local charities and school

Locals gather in unison at the Bratton Clovelly plant sale to support Boasley Cross Primary School and other charities

A community plant sale in Bratton Clovelly has raised £685 for Friends of Boasley Cross School (FOBCS), alongside donations to North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and FORCE Cancer Charity.

The cheque was presented to FOBCS this week by the Bratton Plant Sale team, recognising the school as one of the beneficiaries of their fundraising event.

Sally, Eleanor and Olivia Beardon accepted the donation on behalf of FOBCS and expressed their gratitude to the organisers.

“Thanks to Celia Brazell, Wendy Jellyman and their hard working team for choosing Boasley as a beneficiary and for organising and running such an enjoyable event,” they said.

They also extended thanks to the wider community.

“Thanks to everybody for supporting the event and to those that donated cakes, raffle prizes and their time on the day.”

The next community gathering will be Bratton Day on Saturday 28 June, a family-friendly event featuring a barbecue.

Tickets and information are available by calling 01837 871498.
