Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a single-vehicle collision on the A38 near Bickington.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Bickington at around 4.25pm on Saturday 31 May after reports that a silver BMW estate had been involved in a crash.

A man in his 80s from Exeter was confirmed to have died. His next of kin have been informed.

The A38 was closed for several hours while specialist officers from the roads policing team carried out an investigation.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision in Devon."

Officers thanked the public for their patience during the closure.

Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact police via the force website or by calling 101, quoting log 628 of 31/05/2025.
