Yoga among the masterpieces coming to Exeter

Strike a pose with Van Gogh

Visitors to Westpoint Exeter this autumn will have the chance to experience yoga in a setting like no other, surrounded by the shimmering, larger-than-life artworks of Vincent van Gogh.

The internationally acclaimed Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will arrive in Exeter from 16th to 31st October 2025, transforming the city’s largest arena into a vast, 10,000-square-metre canvas of moving light, colour and sound.

And in a newly announced twist, special Saturday morning yoga classes will be held inside the immersive gallery on 18th and 25th October at 9am, inviting participants to stretch and breathe while Van Gogh’s Sunflowers, Starry Night and Café Terrace come alive around them.

Each 50-minute session will be led by an experienced instructor and tailored to all abilities, with guests encouraged to interact with the images that flow across the walls and floors.

Tickets for the yoga sessions cost £38.59 including entry to the full exhibition, with places strictly limited. Guests will also be able to take photographs and video throughout their visit.

Anna Parry, UK Business Development at Annerin Productions, said today:

“I’m delighted to be able to offer special yoga sessions in the heart of Beyond Van Gogh at Westpoint Exeter this autumn. Art itself provides an opportunity for deep thought and self-reflection, universal connection and the inspiration to feel a huge range of emotions within us.
“When we offer special yoga sessions at other venues, they are always extremely popular and well-received, and they give people the chance to really engage with Van Gogh’s visionary work in a truly unique and memorable way.”

Produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, Beyond Van Gogh blends more than 300 of the Dutch master’s paintings with cutting-edge projection technology and a specially curated symphonic score. Visitors wander through glowing landscapes, swirling skies, and colourful still lifes as Van Gogh’s letters and thoughts guide them on a journey “from darkness to light”.

Since launching in North America, the immersive experience has been seen by over seven million people worldwide, making stops in cities from Toronto to São Paulo. It made its UK debut in Liverpool in 2024, followed by Glasgow, Birmingham and Aberdeen, before returning to Liverpool this summer. Exeter will mark the exhibition’s South West premiere, alongside an Edinburgh residency later this year.

The event will be staged at Westpoint Exeter, the South West’s largest arena and showground.

General admission tickets start at £24.30 for adults (with concessions available). Family, parent-and-child, and VIP Experience tickets are also on sale, with VIP packages offering fast-track entry, flexible arrival times and exclusive merchandise. Children under three go free.
