The Lambs came into the encounter making three changes from the side which was defeated in the Fa Cup at home to Swindon Supermarine.

Ben Cross and Cole Fisher returned to the eleven replacing the unavailable Iestyn Harris and former Plymouth Argyle youngster Kieran Edworthy.

A late change in the lineup was also enforced with Ryan White being replaced in the starting eleven by Lambs cult hero Tallan Burns.

The away side started the encounter of strongly and tested Lambs goalkeeper Will Howard with just two minutes gone.

A strike from former Hungerford man Dawid Regula was turned around his post expertly by former Tiverton man Howard, with the resulting corner being cleared.

Fifteen minutes later, Howard was once again called into action in the quiet encounter with the young shot stopper, who celebrated his birthday during the week, saving a strong Harvey Flippance effort.

In the 19th minute the first chance of the encounter for the Lambs saw a Fisher ball reach Jack Crago.

The Lambs forward smashed an effort which looked to be troubling Liam Armstrong in the Larkhall net, however a deflection of Sam Boulton really took the sting out of the effort.

Just a few seconds later, Ben Fowles picked up the first card of the afternoon after a trip on a Larkhall midfielder preventing a counter attack.

Seven minutes later, winger Jacob Bowker was also caution for the Lambs after pulling a Larkhall man shirt, once again preventing a counter from the Somerset side.

It was a card which the former Falmouth man accepted. The resulting freekick lead to the opening goal with the freekick reaching Boulton in the box.

The Larks Captain, did well to get the ball first and flick it past Howard who was disappointed with the defending.

In the 35th minute a chance for the away side saw an aggressive challenge by Regula catch Lambs defender Joel Jackson.

However the Referee signalled the game to continue with Flippance picking up the ball and looking to round Howard. However luckily for the Lambs the goalkeeper reacted quickly to put his cap on the ball.

The last chance of the first-half feel to the Lambs with Bowker and Crago linking up and the latter looking to get a shot away, before a last ditch Max Williams effort prevented the former Helston man unleashing a shot.

In a quiet first-half the away side would have definitely being the happy going into the second period.

Despite this, the Lambs started the second-half of well with a surging run from defence by Jackson eventually see the defender smash a shot over the bar.

Two minutes later and the visitors came closer to double their lead after a powerful shot by Ryan Beckinsale was saved by the impressive Howard.

The Lambs created two chances just before the hour mark with first Crago hitting a curling shot wide before a Olly Northam cross was met by Burns at the far-post.

However the experienced midfielders header was saved well by Liam Armstrong.

On the 61st minute the Lambs made their first sub of the encounter with the already booked Fowles replaced by Edworthy.

Six minutes later Burns was also replaced with former Plymouth Argyle youth player Nick Salop taking his place.

The Lambs frustrated with the slow game showed with the side picking up two yellow cards in the second period with Cross booked for dissent before Fisher was booked for a foul on Milo Murgatroyd.

The Lambs made their third sub 76th minutes in with Rhys Lindsell replacing the recently booked Fisher.

Three minutes later and the Lambs hit the post. Neat wing player by Bowker, saw the attacker stand up a ball which eventually found Crago.

The forward took a few touches before smashing a powerful effort onto the upright.

In the 84th minute, with the Lambs controlling more and more of the game the away side played on the counter.

A tactic which nearly worked as Flippance was close to lobbing the ball over Howard from distance, however the former Westbury man’s effort was over the top of Howard’s bar.

In the 89th minute the Lambs pressure payed off with Stuart Henderson’s side equalising. Impressive play by Edworthy saw the forward get to the by-line before putting the ball across to Lindsell at the far-post who poked the ball home.

The goal was the substitute first in a Lambs shirt and was once which delighted the Lambs fans.

The last chance of the encounter fell to Edworthy with the forward on the break dragging an effort wide of the far-post from a positive position.

Not long later the Referee blew for Full-Time with the game turning to penalties.

The Lambs started of the shootout with Edworthy finding the net. Alex Camm then scored for the Larks before Crago and Regula scored to make it 2-2. Bowker then stepped up with his penalty just too powerful enough to creep past the outstretched palm of Armstrong. Flippance and then Ethan Wright also scored their spot kicks with the next Larkhall pen not having the same outcome. Max Williams powerful effort smashed the top of the bar putting the Lambs in a commanding position. Cross only had to find the net to wrap up the victory, however his powerful penalty was smashed high over Armstrongs net. Bowman then scored for the Larks taking the game to sudden death. Charlie Madden and Lindsell scored for the Lambs with Dylan Tate and Sam Tisdale also finding the net with their pens. Young Northam stepped up next for the Lambs, with the academy graduate finding the net.
