As the evenings grow cooler, the North Bovey Belles WI are turning their attention to warmer subjects with a lively programme of autumn and winter events.
The next meeting, on Wednesday, 9th October at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, will feature guest speaker Ann Fox, who will discuss and demonstrate her weaving skills. Members say newcomers are especially welcome to come along and join the group’s monthly meetings.
It follows what has been a busy year for the Belles, with a packed calendar of trips, theatre visits, and even open-air opera outings. Now, with the festive season fast approaching, thoughts are already turning towards Christmas.
On Wednesday, 13th November at 7.30pm, the WI will host a special seasonal session led by Lisa, who will guide members in creating an impressive Christmas table decoration.
A spokesperson for the North Bovey Belles said: “It’s always a friendly, creative atmosphere at our meetings, and we’re looking forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new members to share skills and festive cheer.”
The group meets monthly at North Bovey Parish Hall, offering an opportunity to socialise, learn new skills, and get involved in community activities.
