After a hugely successful first year, Icescape Westpoint will once again transform Westpoint Arena into a winter wonderland, with a large real ice rink opening from Thursday 11 December 2025 until Sunday 4 January 2026.
The South West’s largest indoor arena will host the popular festive attraction, with space for up to 400 skaters per 45-minute session. A variety of themed sessions will be available throughout the festive period, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Highlights include Parent and Toddler sessions, where under-5s skate for free with an accompanying adult ticket, pushchairs are allowed on the ice, and mascot Pippen the Penguin may make a special appearance. Quiet sessions will cater for those who prefer a calmer environment, with reduced numbers on the rink, no music and no flashing lights. Disco sessions will return on selected Friday evenings for adult skaters, while 2-for-1 ticket offers will be available on certain Thursdays.
Icescape, one of the UK’s leading providers of temporary real ice rinks, will once again operate the rink. Jamie Dann, Operations Director at Icescape, said: “It is great to be bringing the ice rink back to Westpoint Arena. It was so nice last year to see the people of Devon embrace our event and so many skaters enjoying the ice. The whole team can’t wait to get going again and welcome everyone back on the ice for the festive season.”
Located just outside Exeter, close to the M5, Westpoint Arena offers easy access and ample free parking, making it a convenient festive day out for families, groups and couples.
Tickets will go on sale from early October. Those booking online at least a day before skating can benefit from discounted saver prices, with an additional 20% off for early bird bookings.
Full details, including session times and ticket prices, can be found at www.icescapewestpoint.com
The rink will be closed on Christmas Day.
