Magical evening of shopping in Chagford

The much-loved Chagford Late Night Shopping event is back this year on Tuesday 9 December, when the town’s shops, pubs and independent retailers stay open into the evening for a festive shopping experience in the heart of the town.

From 5pm until around 8pm, visitors can browse the unique selection of local and independent shops, enjoy seasonal treats, meet neighbours, and soak up the festive community atmosphere that makes Chagford so special. 

Local businesses will be offering special promotions, and some venues — such as pubs and cafés — will be serving warming seasonal refreshments like mulled wine and traditional mince pies.

Live music and festive decor will add sparkle to the square, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all ages. The event celebrates the vibrant, independent spirit of Chagford’s traders and invites both locals and visitors to join in the seasonal cheer.

This year’s Late Night Shopping is organised by a coalition of Chagford’s independent shops and community businesses, working together to support local trade and deliver a memorable festive experience for everyone.
