West Devon Borough Council is consulting the public on plans to introduce new parking charges and enforcement across several local car parks.
The proposals include adding Bellacouch Car Park in Chagford, as well as Market Quarter and Market Square car parks in Hatherleigh, to the council’s parking orders.
This would allow the council to introduce pay-and-display charges and provide parking enforcement services on behalf of local partners.
Residents and visitors are invited to share their views through an online consultation open from 19 June until 10 July.
The proposed changes were discussed at the West Devon Hub Committee meeting on 10 June.
After the consultation period, the council will review responses between 21 July and 1 August.
A Notice of Decision will be published in the local press and at the affected car parks shortly after.
