Alicante has been identified as the most popular Ryanair destination from Exeter Airport so far this summer, according to figures shared by the airline.
Ryanair, which operates four routes from the airport, announced the information on Wednesday 25 June as part of its ongoing summer 2025 schedule.
Exeter Airport, located around five miles east of the city, serves as a regional transport hub for Devon and surrounding areas. It offers a limited number of domestic and international flights, with operators including Ryanair, Loganair, Aurigny, and TUI.
While overall passenger numbers have not been published, Ryanair has confirmed that bookings for Alicante currently outpace its other destinations from Exeter.
The city, situated on Spain’s south-eastern coast, is a common departure point for those heading to the Costa Blanca.
Jade Kirwan, Director of Communications at Ryanair, said: "Summer is finally here and with 645 exciting Ryanair routes to/from the UK to choose from for your Summer 2025 holidays, why not take inspiration from your fellow Devon holidaymakers and book a break away to Alicante – the top Ryanair destination from Exeter Airport so far this summer."
Exeter Airport has seen steady passenger growth since the pandemic, with ongoing efforts to expand its route options and increase connectivity across Europe and the UK.
