Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Tavistock and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The incident took place shortly after 12.10pm on Sunday 29 June, along Riverside Walk. It was reported that a man attempted to take a bag from a woman who was walking in the area with a pushchair.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged in his mid-30s to early 40s, around 6ft tall, of medium build, and was wearing a black hoodie.
Police believe this was an isolated incident but have confirmed that there will be an increased presence in the area as enquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police via the Devon and Cornwall Police website or by calling 101 and quoting reference 50250165749.
