West Devon Borough Council has confirmed that essential water mains repairs will begin at Abbey Car Park in Tavistock from Monday 14 July.

The work is expected to last up to two weeks.

During this period, some parking spaces will be temporarily closed to allow contractors to carry out the repairs.

The council said it is working closely with the contractor to minimise disruption and that parking spaces may reopen in phases as the work progresses. The contractor will also aim to complete the project early if possible.

Visitors are advised to plan ahead and consider alternative parking arrangements during this time. The council thanked the public for their patience while the essential maintenance takes place.
