Sir Brian May, legendary guitarist of Queen, has sent an exclusive message to Bovey Tracey ahead of a special screening of the film Bohemian Rhapsody at Bovey Paradiso Arts.

The message will be shown during the Friday 11 July event, hosted by Paradiso Film Club at Wickham Hall, 23 Ashburton Road, Bovey Tracey.

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury.

The film follows Freddie’s rise from outsider to global superstar, exploring his battle with fame, personal struggles, and his ultimate reunion with the band for the iconic Live Aid concert.

The screening offers local fans in Devon a unique chance to experience the story of Queen alongside a personal message from Sir Brian May himself.

Doors at Wickham Hall open at 6.45pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm. A licensed bar and light snacks will be available, with an intermission for refreshments.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 and are available online. Due to limited capacity, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with early access granted to Paradiso Cinema Club members.

Attendees are advised that Wickham Hall is not a purpose-built cinema, so bringing a cushion is recommended for comfort. On-street parking is limited, but Riverside car park is nearby with a short walk to the venue.

Paradiso Arts will not be showing subtitles at this screening, following audience feedback.
