Cannabis and weapons were seized in Northlew after Okehampton police responded to a welfare concern, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed.

Drugs and weapons have been seized from a property in Northlew following a police response to a concern for welfare.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that officers from Okehampton attended the address on Friday 11 July, where they found a quantity of cannabis and several weapons.

A man in his forties was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and possession of offensive and prohibited weapons.

He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
