Students at Tavistock College received their GCSE results today (August 21), with many celebrating strong grades across a range of subjects.

The college, part of Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, said staff were proud of the pupils’ achievements, with several standout performances among this year’s cohort.

Many students are now preparing to continue their studies in the College’s sixth form, while others are set to follow a variety of post-16 pathways, pursuing new ambitions and opportunities elsewhere.

Students across the College performed well, with some of the individual standout accolades including:

  • Adam Wheatley who successfully achieved four grade 9s, two grade 8s, three grade 7s and 1 grade 6.
  • Isabel Barratt-Love who successfully achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and 1 grade 5.
  • Marian Kanievskyi who successfully achieved four grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 7s and 2 grade 6s
  • Oliver Reeves who successfully achieved four grade 9s, one grade 8s, three grade 7s and 2 grade 6s

Overall, there were notable strong performances in a number of core subjects the college has become renowned for such as;
Physics, Construction, Dance, Chemistry, Art and Business Studies

James Buchanan, Principal at Tavistock College, said: “This group of wonderful Year 11 students have excelled in so many ways, achieving some truly fantastic results. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. It has been such an honour to celebrate their successes and begin the next chapter of their educational journey.”
