A new bike 'pump track' has opened in Okehampton, after Section 106 support from West Devon Borough Council and funding from the Okehampton Town Council.
£38,907 of Section 106 funding was provided towards an upgrade to the existing BMX area to form the pump track. The total cost was around £50,000, with the town council contributing the remainder.

The funding came from the Romansfield development which is north of Crediton Road.
The new design includes a variety of elements suitable for different skill levels and riding styles.
The project helps the Council to reach its goal of supporting local communities with projects that make a difference.
Pump Tracks UK described the course on Facebook as “Possibly the new best pump track in the south west” and “a must visit”.
RADDADTV on YouTube explained their excitement: “Such a sick track. We absolutely loved the back straight with three steep hipped tables. It felt like riding trails!”
