Man dies after motorcycle collision on A386 near Roborough

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man in his 50s from West Devon died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on the A386 between Roborough and Yelverton on Thursday 9 October

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that a man has died following a collision which closed the A386 between Roborough and Yelverton on Thursday 9 October.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.05pm on Thursday after a single-vehicle collision involving a black KTM 390 Adventure motorcycle.

The rider, a man in his 50s from West Devon, was taken to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police have since confirmed that the man has died from the injuries he sustained. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed for several hours to allow for a detailed investigation and reopened shortly after 9pm that evening.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have seen the motorcycle prior to the collision, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward quoting police log 294 of 9 October 2025.
