Devon’s skies are lighting up again this Bonfire Night season, with events running through the first half of November.
While several towns around Dartmoor have already held their celebrations, there are still plenty of displays to enjoy across the moors and beyond this week.

Confirmed displays this evening (Wednesday 5 November):
Other displays still to come this weekend across Devon:
Local favourites including Moretonhampstead Fireworks (31 October), Tavistock Lions Fireworks and Newton Abbot Rugby Club’s display (1 November) held their firework displays slightly earlier this season.
For those living around the National Park, tonight’s Teign Valley and Plymouth Hoe displays offer the best chance to celebrate Bonfire Night itself.
Visit Devon advises people to check local organisers’ websites for updates on weather, parking and access before travelling.
Police and Fire Service Advice
Devon & Cornwall Police are asking everyone heading out, or hosting a home celebration, this evening to keep Bonfire Night safe and respectful.
Inspector Steve Philp, Neighbourhood Policing Lead, said officers will be patrolling throughout the evening and urged people to use fireworks responsibly.
“It’s an offence to throw or set off any firework, including sparklers, in or into a public place. If fireworks are being used dangerously or recklessly, please report it to us.”
The force also reminds residents to be considerate of neighbours and pets when celebrating at home, and to attend organised events where possible.
Fire and rescue crews across Devon and Somerset are similarly asking people to take care with open flames, only light fires in safe, open spaces, and keep a bucket of water or sand nearby.
