Farmers interested in regenerative farming are being invited to Bowden Farm, Christow for a hands-on workshop on Tuesday 25 November, running from 10:30am to 3pm.

Organised by the Devon Agri-Tech Alliance (DATA), the event is part of an Agri-Events series commissioned by Teignbridge District Council and delivered by Devon County Council using UK Shared Prosperity funding.

According to DATA, the workshop will feature practical talks and a guided farm tour, giving farmers the chance to see regenerative techniques in action.

Farmer David Taylor will share his experience of implementing these practices on Bowden Farm.

The programme also includes Seb Allen-Mepham from the Bat Conservation Trust, who will discuss how grazing management can support biodiversity and wildlife, and Vicky Herbert from Business Info Point, providing updates on funding opportunities for farm businesses.

Organisers from DATA said: “This event is primarily aimed at farmers based in Teignbridge; however, we warmly welcome farmers from across Devon who are interested in attending. Please note that priority may be given to Teignbridge-based farmers if spaces are limited.”

“The event is designed for farmers, land managers, and anyone interested in regenerative farming, whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your knowledge” they added.

Participants are advised to bring wellies or boots, weather-appropriate clothing, a notebook, and a water bottle.

Organisers note that the farm tour will cover uneven and potentially muddy terrain, and anyone with accessibility requirements is encouraged to contact staff in advance.

The day includes lunch, refreshments, and time for questions, discussion, and networking.

Rain or shine, the event will go ahead, but visitors are reminded that dogs are not permitted on the site to protect livestock and wildlife.

For navigation, organisers advise using What3words: listen.aliens.menu.
