Investigating officers have asked residents to review any CCTV or dashcam footage that may help identify suspicious activity at the time.

A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with footage that could assist our enquiries is urged to come forward.”

Police are also urging farmers and landowners to remain alert.

The spokesperson added: “We ask farms to be aware of any suspicious activity on their land and to make use of security measures such as CCTV, lighting and locked gates.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 or via their website, quoting reference number 50260019721.

In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, members of the public should call 999.
