Police concern grows for missing 70-year-old man from Dousland

An appeal has been issued after Steven McCormick disappears from the Dartmoor village, with police asking the public to report sightings immediately

Steven McCormick, 70 who was reported missing from Dousland near Yelverton has been located and is now with officers.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 70-year-old man who has been reported missing from Dousland on Dartmoor.

Steven McCormick was last seen leaving his home shortly after midday on Wednesday (11 February).

In an update shared at 14:55pm on Thursday (12 February), officers said enquiries are ongoing to try to locate him.

Mr McCormick is described as a white man, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slight build, with very short hair. 

When he was last seen he was wearing a blue check jacket, black trousers and trainers.

He may be driving a white Ford Transit panel van with the registration BT17 CVU.

Dousland is a village near Yelverton on the western edge of Dartmoor, close to open moorland and rural roads.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: “If you have seen Steven or know of his whereabouts please call 999 quoting log 268 of 12 February.”
