Police drug operation in Ivybridge results in suspected cannabis seizure

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed a quantity of suspected cannabis has been seized following a recent operation in Ivybridge.

Officers from the Ivybridge Neighbourhood Team carried out a search warrant at an address in Bridge Park on Wednesday (8 April).

They were supported by drug dogs, handlers and the Neighbourhood Support Team.

Police confirmed a woman was present at the property at the time of the visit, but no arrests were made, with an investigation now ongoing.

Devon and Cornwall Police said tackling drug-related activity remains a priority for the local team and reassured residents that any information provided by the public will be acted upon.

Neighbourhood Team Leader Sergeant Maddy Williams said: “The Ivybridge Neighbourhood Team is committed to taking drugs off the street and would urge members of the community to pass on information to allow us to focus on this priority.

“All information will be treated with complete confidentiality.”

Police are continuing enquiries following the warrant and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and pass on information via the police website or Crimestoppers.
